Panaji: The Goa board of secondary and higher secondary education has issued the tentative timetable for the Class X and XII public exams in 2025. According to the board's schedule, the Class XII exams are expected to take place from Feb 1 to 15, 2025, while the Class X exams are scheduled for March 1 to 20 next year. In response to increasing temperatures due to global warming, the board decided earlier this year to advance the exam schedule by around 28 days from 2025 onwards. The board chairman, Bhagirath Shetye, mentioned concerns about student discomfort during the 2024 exams due to heat, prompting the decision to move the exams earlier next year. Starting from 2025, all student exams will be finished before March 31, with all results expected to be announced by the end of April. This adjustment aims to prevent incidents like students fainting or experiencing unusual symptoms during the exams. The revised schedule aligns with national timelines and is in line with other central and state boards.
